At WBT, he leads international expansion, fundraising, and strategic partnerships. His expertise bridges AI, biotech, and business development, making him a driving force in bringing ADC innovation to market.

Jake Watkin is Managing Partner China at 8 Hours Ahead, where he supports international technology companies in their market entry, investment and commercialisation strategies in China and the Greater Bay Area.

His work focuses on building strategic bridges between global innovation companies and the Chinese ecosystem, with experience across healthcare, life sciences, energy, environment and Industry 4.0.

He brings to the Master a practical vision of how biotech, healthtech and AI companies can understand, access and grow within one of the world’s most dynamic innovation markets

Xian “Carrie” Wu is Partner and Head of Healthcare at 8 Hours Ahead, where she supports international life sciences and health technology companies in their China and Greater Bay Area market entry strategies.

Her work focuses on healthcare innovation, portfolio due diligence, market strategy, project management and commercial partner negotiations. She brings to the Master a practical perspective on how biomedical and AI-driven companies can connect with investors, partners and innovation ecosystems in China.

Jenny has 20+ years experience in global pharma industry, holding senior roles at Pfizer, Novartis, CSL Vifor, and Takeda across the US, Europe, and China.

She specializes in business development, market access, and strategic partnerships, with extensive experience in cross-border licensing deals and commercial assessment of innovative assets.

Jenny is also an active healthcare angel investor and advisor to early-stage companies.

She trained as a medical doctor at Capital Medical University in Beijing, earned an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and completed executive programs at Harvard and other leading US universities.

Alberto Ocaña, MD, PhD, Director of the Experimental Therapeutics Unit at Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid. He also leads the Precision Oncology Program at CEU University. Dr. Ocaña has held senior global roles at Symphogen, Servier, and NMS, contributing to the advancement of ADCs and antibody-based therapies.

Dr. Espinosa is a Ramón y Cajal Associate Professor at University Complutense of Madrid and European Research Council Principal Investigator. He leads the Supercomputing Center at Complutense University.  His expertise focuses on biophysical modeling and multiscale molecular dynamics simulations. He has published over 90 papers (h-index 41). At WBT, he provides advanced computational modelling for ADC design and optimization.
